The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Syiah Kuala (FKG USK), conducted Desa Binaan Visit 5 through its Home Visit program in Gampong Rumpet, Banda Aceh, on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
This initiative is part of the faculty’s community service efforts to raise public awareness of the importance of maintaining good oral health. During the program, 40 households were visited by dental students from FKG USK, who provided oral health examinations and education to local residents.
Through the Home Visit program, dental students visited residents’ homes to conduct oral health examinations and provide educational information on the importance of maintaining proper oral hygiene. This direct approach was intended to help residents better understand their oral health conditions and encourage them to seek regular dental check-ups.
The implementation of Desa Binaan Visit 5 reflects FKG USK’s ongoing commitment to supporting improvements in community health, particularly in the field of oral health. Through this initiative, the faculty hopes to encourage the residents of Gampong Rumpet to adopt healthy habits and become more proactive in maintaining their oral health in their daily lives.
