The LKMM SK-AKBAR FKG USK 2026, held on September 5–6, 2026, this event is also part of the series of activities marking USK 65th anniversary, officially commenced its first-day program on September 5, 2026. The program focuses on strengthening students’ leadership capacity and preparing them to become resilient, inspiring, critical, and adaptive future leaders who are capable of navigating various organizational dynamics.
The first day featured a series of leadership development sessions delivered by speakers from Universitas Syiah Kuala, the Faculty of Dentistry at Universitas Syiah Kuala (FKG USK), and experienced professionals. Through these sessions, participants gained valuable insights and practical perspectives on various aspects of leadership and organizational development.
The Day 1 program began with an opening ceremony attended by representatives of the leadership of Universitas Syiah Kuala and the Faculty of Dentistry. Distinguished guests included Dr. Ir. Wira Dharma, S.Si., M.P., M.Si., IPM., Director of Student Affairs and Entrepreneurship at Universitas Syiah Kuala; Enzus Tinianus, S.H., M.H., Head of the Student Affairs Subdivision at Universitas Syiah Kuala; Dr. drg. Zulfan M. Alibasyah, Sp.Perio., Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry; drh. Abdillah Imron Nasution, M.Si., Ph.D., Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Dentistry; and drg. Ridha Andayani, M.Si., Coordinator of the Undergraduate Dentistry Study Program.
The opening ceremony was also attended by representatives of various student organizations, including the Student Executive Board of Universitas Syiah Kuala, the Student Executive Boards of the Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, and Faculty of Dentistry, as well as the Student Representative Council of FKG, FKDGM FKG, and LDF FKG. Their presence reflected strong support for the program and further reinforced the spirit of collaboration among student organizations.
Following the opening ceremony, the first session featured Enzus Tinianus, S.H., M.H., who delivered a presentation entitled “Strategic Student Leadership: Building the Character of Resilient and Inspiring Leaders.” Moderated by Azka Fariz Hidayat, the session provided participants with insights into the importance of developing strong leadership character and enhancing students’ capacity to become leaders who can create a positive impact within their communities.
The program continued with a session entitled “Data-Driven Leadership: Strategies for Addressing Misinformation and Making Accurate Decisions,” delivered by drh. Abdillah Imron Nasution, M.Si., Ph.D., and moderated by Xavier Cemal, S.KG. The session highlighted the importance of critical and evidence-based thinking in responding to the rapid flow of information, particularly in identifying misinformation and making accurate and responsible decisions within organizations.
Participants then attended a session on “Time Management for Future Leaders: Balancing Academic Responsibilities and Organizational Dynamics,” delivered by Dr. Drs. Samsul Bahri, M.Si., with Sahril Alba, S.KG., serving as the moderator. This session emphasized the importance of effective time management and the ability to balance academic responsibilities with organizational commitments—essential skills for future leaders.
The final session of Day 1 featured drg. Supriady R., M.Kes., who presented a topic entitled “Issue and Crisis Management in Organizations.” Moderated by Siti Zakhirah, the session equipped participants with an understanding of how to address various issues and crisis situations that may arise within organizations, while also developing the ability to respond to challenges appropriately and responsibly.
Through these four comprehensive sessions, Day 1 of LKMM SK-AKBAR FKG USK 2026 served as a valuable platform for participants to broaden their perspectives and strengthen their leadership competencies. Beyond developing leadership skills, participants were encouraged to cultivate resilience, adopt data-driven and critical thinking, manage their time effectively, and develop the readiness to navigate organizational issues and crises.
With the successful completion of the first day, participants are expected to apply the knowledge and values gained throughout the program in both their academic and organizational lives. LKMM SK-AKBAR FKG USK 2026 represents an important step toward nurturing a generation of students who lead with integrity, adapt to change, and create a positive and meaningful impact on their communities.
