The Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) at Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) held a Working Meeting as part of the strategic process for preparing the 2027 Annual Work and Budget Plan (RKAT). The meeting, held at Hotel Azana Oasis, was officially opened by the Vice Rector IV of USK and attended by the faculty leadership, department heads, and relevant stakeholders within FKG USK.
In his remarks, the Dean of FKG USK emphasized that the working meeting served as an important momentum to strengthen the collective commitment to developing programs that are not merely implemented administratively, but also generate tangible impacts for institutional development.
“This working meeting provides an important opportunity for us to formulate programs that are more focused, measurable, and capable of generating tangible impacts. Every program included in the 2027 RKAT must have clear objectives and contribute to improving the quality of education, research, community service, and governance at FKG USK,” said the Dean of FKG USK.
Meanwhile, in his remarks and opening of the meeting, the Vice Rector IV of USK highlighted the importance of ensuring that program planning is aligned with the university’s strategic policies and targets. Work programs should not merely focus on budget absorption, but should be designed to produce measurable outcomes and impacts.
“We need to shift the orientation of planning from simply carrying out activities toward ensuring that every activity generates measurable performance and impact. The RKAT must serve as an instrument for achieving the university’s strategic targets and ensuring that every resource utilized provides optimal benefits for the institution,” said the Vice Rector IV of USK.
The working meeting subsequently focused on formulating and aligning impact-driven work programs for the 2027 RKAT. Discussions covered various strategic areas, including strengthening the quality of education and learning, increasing research productivity and publications, community service, human resource development, institutional governance, and enhancing the competitiveness of FKG USK.
Through this activity, FKG USK reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all planned programs have clear objectives, performance indicators, and measurable targets. This performance- and impact-based approach is expected to improve the effectiveness of resource utilization, strengthen institutional accountability, and support the sustainable achievement of FKG USK’s vision and mission.
