The Faculty of Dentistry, Syiah Kuala University (FKG USK) has held an inauguration ceremony and handover of duties for student organizations, including the Student Representative Council (DPM), the Student Executive Board (BEM), the LDF Student Club for Islamic Dental Students (SIMETRIS), and the Young Dentists Communication Forum (FKDGM).
The event, held on the FKG USK campus, is part of the leadership renewal process for student organizations. The inauguration simultaneously marks the end of the previous executive board’s term and the beginning of the new board’s duties.
The event was also attended by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Entrepreneurship at Syiah Kuala University, Prof. Dr. Mustanir, M.Sc; the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Syiah Kuala University, Prof. Dr. drg. Cut Soraya, M.Pd., Sp.KG; the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Partnerships at the Faculty of Dentistry, Syiah Kuala University, Dr. Sri Rezeki, Sp.PM; the Vice Dean for Resources and Finance, Dr. Herwanda, M.Kes; as well as the Head of the Student Affairs Subdivision at the Faculty of Dentistry, Syiah Kuala University, Ners. Afdhal Shiddiq, S.Kep.; and all invited guests.
The Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Syiah Kuala University, Prof. Dr. drg. Cut Soraya, M.Pd., Sp.KG, also expressed her appreciation to the previous executive board. “Thank you for your dedication and contributions. To the new executive board, we hope that the mandate and responsibilities will be carried out well and that they will be able to present innovative and sustainable work programs,” said Prof. Dr. drg. Cut Soraya, M.Pd., Sp.KG, as Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Syiah Kuala University.
The Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Entrepreneurship at Syiah Kuala University, Prof. Dr. Mustanir, M.Sc., also addressed the students. “Students are not only expected to excel academically but must also be able to adapt to their social environment. The ability to adapt, communicate, and interact effectively within society is an essential skill that every student must possess as a future professional,” he said.
In closing, the Chair of the USK FKG Student Executive Board (BEM) for the 2026 term, M. Alif Dhiya’ulhaq, expressed his commitment to making the student organization more progressive and collaborative. He emphasized that the new executive board will strive to implement programs that not only benefit FKG students but also make a tangible contribution to the broader community. With a spirit of unity and integrity, he called on all student groups to work together in realizing the organization’s vision of being adaptive, innovative, and sustainable.
Through this inauguration, it is hoped that the new executive board will be able to carry out the organization’s duties and functions optimally, as well as make tangible contributions to the development of student organizations and the sustainable progress of the Faculty of Dentistry at Syiah Kuala University.
