Prosthodontics

The primary responsibility of the Department of Prosthodontics lies in the education and training of dentistry students in the restorative aspects of bringing a damaged dentition back to biologic health, function, esthetics and comfort. This is accomplished by teaching and practicing the clinical techniques of modern restorative dentistry and prosthodontics including removable prosthodontics and fixed prosthodontics on the basis of current evidence in the related sciences. An additional emphasis is also placed on diagnosis, treatment planning as well as comprehensive care for advanced patients using an evidence-base, multidisciplinary approach. The department integrates multidisciplinary approach in the diagnosis and management of patients’ esthetics and functional needs. The program believes that all this steps are required to prepare student to become a professional dentist and emphasizes a mindset towards achievement of this goal.
