Industrial Strengthening through Technology Optimization is a program developed by the Ministry of Industry through the Agency for Industrial Standards and Policy to strengthen the capabilities of new industrial companies, particularly small and medium-sized industries (IKM), through technology optimization.
This program provides industrial strengthening facilitation through diagnosis and resolution of technological problems faced by new industrial companies, assistance in resolving industrial problems, and other facilitation (intellectual property registration, product testing, and product certification such as green industry certification, halal product certification, and TKDN certification), in order to foster independent and competitive technology-based industries.
This activity was attended by 4 students from FKG USK, namely Galuh Satwika Paramita, Deffan Dericco, Mohd Fakhriza Naufal, and Nesha Deanna Nathania, and 1 student from FEB USK, namely Muhammad Raiyan Fajri. Biscateam was mentored by drg. Teuku Ahmad Arbi, Sp. BM (K), drg.. Sri Rezeki, Sp.PM, and Fitrah Afandi, S.E, M.Si.
In 2024, 400 teams participated in this program. Biscateam competed starting from the provincial selection stage and made it to the top 3, thereby earning the opportunity to represent USK at the National Bootcamp held in Tangerang and Surabaya.At the National Bootcamp, Biscateam received business training and the opportunity to present a business pitch. After a series of selection stages and coaching, Biscateam ranked 3rd and successfully secured funding for product development, advancing to the Investment Day stage in October.
Biscateam itself presented the Biscatur business, an innovative biscuit made from eggshell flour, etawa goat milk, palm sugar, and several other supporting ingredients. After conducting a nutritional analysis, one package of Biscatur was found to meet the daily calcium requirement for the prevention of stunting and osteoporosis.
After conducting product research, preparing materials, and practicing pitching for several months, Biscateam hopes to bring honor to Indonesia, particularly Syiah Kuala University, on the national and international stage.
Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at USK, Dr. drg. Cut Soraya, M.Pd, Sp.KG, expressed appreciation for the students’ achievements. This demonstrates that USK students are capable of competing at the national level.
