Hippocratic Oath of New Dentists from Faculty of Dentistry Universitas Syiah Kuala.

Nine new dentists from the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG), Syiah Kuala University (USK),  participated in the 38th Dentist Oath-Taking Ceremony at the VIP Room of the AAC Darussalam Building today (Monday, June 26th 2023). Since 2012, FKG USK has graduated a total of 769 dentists.

The Dentist Oath Ceremony was attended by the USK Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Entrepreneurship, representatives frok the Indonesian Dental Association (PDGI) Aceh Region, the Dean and Vice Dean of FKG USK, the Director of Dental Hospital (RSGM) USK, the Head of the Dentistry Professional Study Program, lecturers, parents of the dentists taking the oath, employees, choir students, and invited guests.

The Dentist Oath Signing Ceremony was witnessed by the Dean of the USK Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. drg. Cut Soraya, M.Pd, Sp.KG, the Director of the RSGM, Prof. Dr. drg. Zaki Mubarak, MS, and drg. Wildan Yusuf, representative of the Aceh Region PDGI.

Representing the newly sworn-in dentists, Dr. Syifa Maulina expressed her gratitude to all parties who contributed to the learning process leading up to the 38th Dental Oath Ceremony at the Dentisry Faculty of Syiah Kuala University..

In her speech, Dean of FKG USK Dr. drg. Cut Soraya, M.Pd, Sp.KG congratulated the newly inaugurated dentists and expressed her gratitude to the parents who had raised their children to be outstanding individuals and entrusted FKG USK with their education. The Dean reminded the newly inaugurated dentists to always uphold ethical and humanitarian values and to respect their teachers or lecturers. She advised, “A person with high knowledge will have no value if it is not balanced with noble character and upholding morals and ethics” because, in essence, good ethics and honesty will provide high trust value, which will become our basic capital in working and living in society.

“Become a proud alumni of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Syiah Kuala. Congratulations on your work and service to the community in improving the oral health of the Indonesian people,” said the Dean. (NR)
